Our Water Removal & Drying Process

When our water damage specialists arrive at your home we will conduct a thorough walk through with you to determine the best plan of action.  Every water emergency is unique, so after our inspection we will explain the job process step-by-step and what to expect.

The source of water coming into your building must be stopped before our water damage technicians can successfully extract all of the water and begin to dry your building.
Following industry guidelines, the level of contamination of the water will help us determine the proper procedures to take to restore your home.
Using special probes and meters we will inspect the extent of water damage and determine how to proceed.
With your permission, we move and/or block the legs or basses of furniture to protect from furniture stains on your carpet.
Using our truck-mounted water extraction equipment, we will remove as much water as possible.
We will inspect affected carpet and pad to determine if it should be removed (with your permission) or determine the best procedures to save and dry them. We will also determine the extent of moisture in flooring and walls.
If determined necessary by industry guidelines, our process may use a sanitizer/deodorizer for antimicrobial treatments.
While the water has been extracted from carpet and pad, there is still possible moisture in the air and walls that needs to be removed to insure proper drying times.
After we have determined our drying goal, we will use drying equipment to remove moisture. We will utilize dehumidifiers to bring relative humidity back to acceptable levels and air movers to aid in the drying of wet materials.
