ROOF SNOW REMOVAL

Grand Rapids Roof Snow Removal

Concerned about excessive weight and ice build-up on your roof?

Have water leaking through the roof?

Our Goal

Our goal is to remove as much snow as we can to help reduce the added weight on your rooftop and reduce the potential for melting snow to run under your shingles.  Secondly, ice melt products can create channels for melting snow to flow off of your roof and not under your shingles. Unfortunately, there is not an easy fix for ice build-ups on roofs.  We do not try to break up the ice with chipping or hammers because using that method can lead to possible damage of your shingles or gutters.

Step 1:  Snow Removal Service

Top Care Cleaning is now servicing the Grand Rapids area with roof snow removal services.  We utilize special tools specifically designed to remove snow from rooftops.  We start by pulling the snow closest to us and work our way towards the peak of your roof.  The snow acts as an insulator and as heat escapes from your roof the bottom layer of snow will melt and cause a build-up of ice under the snow.  As the ice continues to build there is a possibility for water to flow under your shingles and cause water damage to your home.  Our goal is to remove as much snow as we can to reduce the potential for melting snow to run under your shingles.  Removing the snow will reduce the amount of water formed from heat escaping through your roof.  After we have removed the snow from your roof we can then use ice melting products on the existing ice.

Step 2:  Ice Treatment

We can use ice melt products on large ice build-ups to help create channels for the melting snow to flow off of your roof.  This process will not remove all of the ice build-up on your roof, but will help reduce the chance of melting snow from coming into your home.  We will apply ice melt products directly onto large ice build-ups to produce these channels.  We do not try to break up the ice with chipping or hammers because using that method can lead to possible damage of your shingles or gutters.
